WE ARE the largest provider of surgical services in the U.S.

To support efficient operations in your OR, SpecialtyCare provides surgical specialists and certified technicians throughout the country. For your hospital or ASC, we provide a complete suite of services including consulting, program management, permanent and interim staffing operations, and education. SpecialtyCare brings the expertise to transform your OR and SPD into safe, highly-efficient, and effective surgical service delivery areas.

It can be very challenging to find qualified and reliable staff for your OR.  We specialize in providing Autotransfusionists, Surgical First Assistants and Specialists to support some of your most challenging cases.

Sterile processing is a mission critical function in every facility that provides surgical services. SPD’s primary functions are to ensure that instruments are available, functional and safe for use with every patient.  SPD production is dependent upon the complement of staff, their proficiency, and efficiency at which they work plus the equipment supplied to do the work.  Gaps in any of these variables leads to expensive surgical delays, staff frustrations and the potential for patient harm.

When challenges arise, we apply Lean Six Sigma Processes to determine the root causes.  Custom solutions are then created for our clients.

Data & Research Makes Safer Surgery

Because our clinicians are teamed with surgical teams in thousands of cases across the country, SpecialtyCare is able to gather data on techniques that typically aren’t known in remote medical facilities or by other providers with a more limited research range.

With the creation of SCOPE™, the SpecialtyCare Operative Procedural Registry, SpecialtyCare has the largest clinical database of its kind. Members of our medical office analyze case data and share the scientific findings to our clinical professionals so that the evidence-based trends and best practices can be shared with surgeons and OR teams across the nation to bring innovation at the local level.

SpecialtyCare also uses the medical expertise of advisory boards that include healthcare experts and industry-leading physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinicians. They work closely with our chief medical officer, as well as members of our medical office. Together, they provide:

  • Insight into perfusion, neuromonitoring, surgical assistance, and clinical technician environments
  • Recommendations to advance medical systems, including quality indicators, procedural guidelines, and improvement initiatives
  • Guidance to ensure the best possible care to our patients
  • Assistance in developing and maintaining positive relationships with the medical, perfusion, surgical assistance, and clinical technician communities
  • Collaborations that include ideas for growing hospitals’ business and for improving recruitment of clinical staff
  • Ongoing input for our continuing education programs
